Structural Repairs and Modifications is an area Avalon has great experience with encompassing old heavyweights as well as stainless steel exteriors. Wreck damage to platform and roof work – we've got the experience to complete the project properly.

Historic Preservation and Restoration Projects
We have an impressive history of work performing Museum quality restoration. Our ability to conduct restoration with care taken to each artifact is a practiced skill and one we take great pride in.
Historic Preservation is very much the cornerstone of our business. Structural repairs and modifications are at times necessary to preserve historic railcars so whatever the structure is made of, Avalon has competency with stainless steel to aluminum. Recreating an original aesthetic is an important expectation for our clients. We have the history in ability to produce that original hand finish to paint and custom metal work.
Custom details are another important feature to attend to in restoration. We have the sources and skilled talent to recreate that original leaded and stained glass cabinetry, patterned wool carpets, custom Pullman furniture, complex platform railings and roof silhouettes to transform a car back into the railcar it once was.

We have an extensive history of private railcar manufacturing.
